Mallheat - dance film (2002)
In this film, five people go about their everyday existence in a single space. They are independent from each other, but they cannot be separated. Their place in the mall is their point of constraint. Their pathways cross, but these chance meetings are of little consequence. Desire, aggression and other base motivations bring them together. Yet this apparent unity is doomed, and they are ultimately repelled. There is no way out.

The choreography in this film is inspired by hip-hop and Hungarian folk dance. The first is a young urban style of dance; the second has been handed down by tradition for centuries. Diametrically opposed, these two styles are formed and de-formed by the personality and abilities of the dancers.
